My Fictional Hero
He's not real, but I don't care,
In books he lives, yes I'm aware.
Life's boring without his story,
Reading about him is my glory.
His words make my heart race,
Though I can't see his face.
He's just ink on a page,
An interesting adventure, a rage.
I know he's made-up,
Still, I can't give up.
This character's my obsession,
Reading's my only confession.
Or
He's fictional but I still love him,
In pages he lives, my light so dim.
Real life is dull, void of his spark,
Without his presence, all seems dark.
Reading his tales drives me insane,
In every word, I feel his pain.
